Between Home and Home: This is a cute series so far, but I'm a bit surprised by some of the content, especially considering it was written for children. Each character had a story to tell and through the shuffling of scenes, the plot unfolds. Function Spaces and Partial Differential Equations: Dreamplay drops in on several points in Singapore's history, zig-zagging haphazardly from a gay club to a pair of coolies in 19th-century Nanyang to two fugitives dodging the Japanese in World War II. Sure, the story is full of holes and easy outs, but it does such a good job of being light that it doesn't suffer much from these shortcomings. I enjoyed this book very much.
